Shipping Rates
Set up what members pay for shipping and where you'll send things.
The Shipping tab is where you tell fellos what shipping methods to offer at checkout and what to charge for each. If your site also has the USPS integration enabled (your Site Admin sets that up), fellos can calculate live rates based on the item's weight.
Adding a Shipping Rate
- Go to Store → Manage → Shipping.
- Click + Add Rate.
- Fill out:
- Name — what members see ("Standard", "Priority Mail").
- Price — the flat fee in dollars.
- Delivery estimate — how long shipping takes (e.g., 3–5 business days).
- Save. The rate shows up immediately at checkout.
The Default Rate
One of your rates is marked as the default. Members see this pre-selected at checkout — they can switch to a different rate if you offer more than one. Mark a rate default by clicking the star icon in the rate's row.
Shipping Countries
By default fellos allows all countries. If you only want to ship within a specific list of countries (most organizations just ship domestically), edit the Allowed Countries list. Members outside the list won't be able to check out physical items at all.
USPS Live Rates (optional)
If your Site Admin has set up the USPS integration, you'll also see USPS rate options. These calculate live based on item weight and the buyer's ZIP code, so the member pays closer to actual cost.
Nothing changes for you as Comptroller when USPS is on — you don't have to enter USPS credentials or test connections. Just make sure each of your items has a weight set (in the item editor) so USPS can quote accurately.
Physical items that don't have a weight fall back to your flat rates. If USPS rates are showing $0 to members, that's usually a missing weight on one of the items in the cart.
Virtual Items and Shipping
Items marked Virtual in the editor skip the shipping step entirely. If a cart only contains virtual items, the member never sees the shipping selector. If a cart mixes physical and virtual items, shipping rates only apply to the physical ones.
